The European Data Relay System (EDRS) is a satellite communication system that enables data transmission via geostationary satellites. Continuous data transmission is established which can reach all remote corners of the world in real time. This also hugely improves the existing European telecommunications infrastructure.
There are plans to integrate parts of this corporate film into other video clips that are intended for the general public and not just for specialists. The film was produced in German, English, French, Spanish and Italian and will also be available via the ESA Internet portal.
